High Definition Surveying

High Definition Surveying (HDS) uses laser scanning to produce highly accurate documentation by capturing an array of millions of points in a digital format to produce a 3D shape of physical objects. The data can be used to enable and enhance design and construction decisions. HDS is best suited for projects that are in congested or tight fit areas, far away or difficult to access, where non-intrusiveness is needed (e.g. avoid lane closures), when you have a short window of time to collect data, and where it is unsafe to occupy the project location. SURVCON has provided HDS services for projects located on active airport runways, on large structural dams, and for topographic commercial surveys. SURVCON's staff is trained and experienced in this new and technical service.
